DOGS RULE !!! To share all the good times for being dog lovers.

Mya came home this morning about 11:30 sporting a new Tshirt. She is doing very well. Macleod was excited to see her too…

That was Thursday after noon, { 2 days post op}  she layed down in the living room and went to sleep , so I came down and started a post But Allison called me and said Mya was getting restless, I came up to take her out and we have been watching here close ever since. she sleeps for an hour or two at the most then usually needs to change position or go out for a piddle. She will leave a small lake behind.

Today is 4 days post op and she is doing well, on friday she sudenly started twitch her back leg and before I could grab her she got one good one off and dragged it over the Tshirt she had on { amp. side !?!?! } let out a loud yelp! and stood straight up. noticed a bit of fluid building mostly blood near the staples, not leakage. used a soft ice pack for as long as she would stsnd it a few times now and its recieded a bit. Bruises are starting to show. She still looks me in the eye and and gives me kisses… Doesnt like the whole leash up for a bathroom break in the yard so much. But I know if she wasn’t tied to me she would get into some place, or behind a tree and it would be hard to get her out. She’s tired of sit’n around, wants to live life a little.

Spent a bunch of the day editing the videos to put up, but there too big … i’ll try and dumb it down a bit or split them up.

Got an update around 5:00 pm and Mya is making great progress. Doc. said she’s talking to them now , really vocalizing . ” K , I’m all good wanna go home now !!!”. She’s always been a talker.

We pick her up at 10:30 Thursday morning. We can breath again…

Allison heard from Can West this morning and Mya was awake and, ” talking ” as Mal’s do, she was able to stand up with a little help. She is still seeing pink elephants… While she was up she had a good long pee. They will keep her over night again, I so want to see her but will wait till she is good and stable before we go and get her all excited. Macleod has been wondering around the yard a lot, kind of moping around. I found him sleeping in the spot that Mya had spent most of her time the last few days. He misses her too.

I was real impressed with the new harness I got for Macleod, it is a pulling harness with 3 D rings, set towards the back , nicely padded at the shoulders with a single chest strap that connects the upper and lower portions with a pair of adjustable quick clips at the waist. It has reflective strips on the top and sides too. Made by CE (Canine Equipment) bought it from pet land . I wasn’t expecting to get one that fit so well from a retail store. Our last ones had a sheep skin pad that crossed in front of the shoulders and I felt it was somewhat restricting on their forward step. What I really like about the harness is the 6-8inch handle strap located on the top in the front, connecting right at each shoulder. When I stand up straight with my arm beside me the strap is perfect hight for me to hold with Macleod right beside me and if he deviates a little in his step either way I just lift up an inch or two and he’s right beside me again. I dont know if it this type will work for or fit my new Tripawd but we will see soon enough…
