We got word from the surgeon, and when she checked in last Mya was awake and feeling no pain… said she let out a big yawn and had a good stretch. Tears… Happy ones. { She hasen’t stretched her front legs properly in weeks} . I would watch her get about half way down, trying to keep the bad leg out of it, and stop then let out a sigh … Like loosing a sneeze at the last second every time.
I can feel a weight lifting, I think I will sleep tonight.
While looking for some gear for Mya today I picked up a new harness for Macleod, we went and had a guys day on the trails at rocky point. Then stopped for a “doggy icecream”, and a “daddy” one. He’s been feeling a little left out with all Mya’s solo car rides latley. Think he has been a sleep since we got back.
I know that update made you smile! It sure did me! In fact, it gave me a contiguous yawn too!! Bet your yawnng now too!! 🙂
Yes, do get some good sleep while you can. Sometimes the first couple of days home can be a little….hmmm…restless, to say the least!
When you pick Mya up, don’t even look at her ole incision…she sure isn’t! Just look into her happy eyes and tell her what a good girl she is and smooch her mug!
Mya and MacLeod can share a doggy ice cream to celebrate her homecoming!
Hugs!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

And kind of sweet that your boy got a new harness. Many of us buy them for our tripawds (we love the Ruffwear Webmaster Plus harness), so nice that both dogs get a new harness!
