We got the call from the sergeon and Mya is out of the OR and in recovery, she is doing well with no issues durring the opperation.
They will keep her over night and maybe another day depending how she does today. The worst part is over and now her journey begins again.
We’ve just got word that a friend of the family is also in surgery today with a large breed dog, we will walk them over to meet you all when we can. I never even fathomed there was such a big family involved this or how many dogs, cats, people were affected by this. We hear of cancer every day but it doesnt hit home till it hits home… I never considered my self to be “driving with blinders on”, but even with my eyes wide open I just didn’t see the big picture. Game Changer …
Well I guess the game is the same, just the rules have changed.
Yes it’s absolutely heartbreaking to get a very quick lesson in how cancer can affect even young dogs and cats. We too got a rude awakening. Great to hear Mya is out of surgery and doing well. Please keep us posted on your beautiful girls journey. We’ll be here if you need us for anything!
Hugs!
